# Preparing for your delivery

A five-minute checklist that makes delivery day quick and painless.

A little prep makes delivery day fast. Here's the checklist.

## Measure the path

The most common surprise isn't the hookup — it's the doorway. Measure the narrowest door, hallway, or stairwell between your entrance and where the appliance is going. Most washers and dryers need about 27–30 inches of clearance.

## Clear the route

Move anything fragile or in the way between the door and the install spot. If we're hauling away an old unit, empty it out (check the washer drum!).

## Know your hookups

- **Washers** need hot/cold water valves and a drain within reach.
- **Dryers** — check whether your hookup is electric (a large 3- or 4-prong outlet) or gas, and tell us when you order so we bring the right unit.
- **Fridges/freezers** just need an outlet and a level spot.

## During the install

We place and level the unit, connect everything, and test it while you're there — washers get a fill-and-drain leak check, dryers a heat check. We don't leave until you've seen it work.

## After we leave

Fridges and freezers need a couple of hours to reach temperature before you load them. If anything seems off in the first few days — a noise, a drip — call or text [(913) 214-1115](tel:+19132141115). Early calls are always the right call.
